Dorita has known since the age of 15 that accounting was the profession for her — nearly two decades on, that early certainty has become a career built on numbers and practical problem-solving. After completing her articles, she spent two years as a financial adviser. She then moved into accounting, an experience that gave her a close-up understanding of how accountants and tax practitioners support advisers and their clients.
Her focus is accounting and SARS compliance, with a soft spot for start-up businesses and the entrepreneurs building them. She’s seen first-hand how financial planning decisions carry tax consequences that catch people off guard. She works closely with several pensioner clients on their annual tax submissions, and finds it most rewarding to keep clients compliant while guiding young business owners through managing their finances properly from the start.
