Temple Alliance Financial Services Provider · FSP No. 45325
What does a first consultation involve?

An initial conversation to understand your situation and work out whether we're the right fit for each other. There's no commitment and no forms at this stage — just a conversation.

What happens after that first conversation?

If you'd like to move forward with us, we'll send through three documents: an Information Gathering Sheet, which covers your personal, employment and financial details; a Life Folder Details form, which records household, family and estate information for safekeeping; and an Appointment and Consent Letter, which formally appoints Temple Alliance as your financial adviser and allows us to gather information from other financial institutions on your behalf where needed.

What do I need to prepare beforehand?

Nothing for the first conversation. Once you've decided to proceed, the forms will guide you through what's needed — income and employment details, existing policies and investments, assets and liabilities, and family or estate information.

Is there a minimum portfolio size?

No. We work with clients at different stages and different levels of complexity.

How is Temple Alliance paid?

We're upfront about how we're compensated and the reasoning behind it — you can read more in our article on adviser fees.

Do you draft antenuptial contracts in-house?

Yes. Temple Alliance handles ANC drafting directly, rather than referring you to an external attorney.

Is my information kept confidential?

Yes. Everything you share with us is treated as confidential within our office.

Which adviser should I speak to?

Every adviser at Temple Alliance brings a slightly different focus. You can meet the team and read each adviser's bio here. Still not sure who suits you best? Email admin@templealliance.co.za with a short description of your situation, and we'll guide you to the right person.

What if I already work with another adviser?

If your current adviser isn't meeting your expectations, we'd be glad to have that conversation — and to help manage the transition if you decide to move your affairs across to us.

Still have a question?

The best way to get a straight answer is a conversation, not a form. Book a first consultation and we'll take it from there.
